A gracious email from Tom Copley advises me that Andrew Dismore has been selected as Labour’s candidate to fight my home seat Barnet and Camden for the 2012 Greater London Authority elections. Tom has fought a good campaign and is definitely a talent for the future.
I’ve been fighting elections alongside Andrew for decades and I look forward to campaigning with him between now and next May. I was pleased to endorse and support Andrew’s campaign. Andrew has a tremendous record of working and delivering for Barnet. I know that Camden residents too will benefit from his election. The current incumbent Conservative Brian Coleman has a chequered record and is known for his offensive remarks.
Andrew has a high profile which gives him substantial voter recognition not just in Hendon where Andrew was the MP until last year, but beyond, especially in Brian Coleman’s Barnet heartlands.
