GAIL TRIMBLE

University Challenge sensation Gail Trimble was never going to be a one day wonder.  You will remember I blogged about her amazing performance.  I continue to follow her career and it transpires that she continues to pursue her academic interests, having recently had a review of a new translation of the Satires of Horace published in the Times Literary Supplement.  Gail also appeared on the TLS cover to advertise the article.

All this seems standard stuff and eminently reasonable.  I therefore thought this article in the “Evening Standard” was a bit strange, talking as it does of “Nuts” magazine and Jeremy Paxman.

Keep up the good work Gail, and keep on ignoring those who don’t know their Horace from their Page Three.
