I’ve just finished speaking to some journalism students from the University of Westminster about political blogging. It was good to see so many people engaged in politics and the European Union.

Blogs can do some good Mary. I remember your posts about Ryanair. The boss of that company says that only the poor and those in slums should worry about swine flu. The rest of us should suck throat sweets and forget.
Socialism used to be about defending those poor wherever they were. Even just by standing up and saying to people that no human being is an island, to be overflown or forgotten.
Do some good, and post on what you think of Ryanair.
Martin, Thank you for this comment. I have not as yet done a full blog on the appalling comments made by Michael O’Leary about the victims of swine flu. We’re completely in agreement on this one, as you have pointed out.
