- Dr. Caroline Jackson MEP
In politics, you often have personal friendships across the Party divide. Perhaps because she is the only Conservative woman MEP I have always got on well with Caroline Jackson MEP. She is a hard worker and her dedication on Environmental matters particularly has been acknowledged across the European parliament. I have posted before that she is not part of the “Nasty Party.” I am therefore not surprised that she is now condemning David Cameron´s move to work with the far right. I am also not surpised he will not name the Parties he intends to ally with in the European Parliament in future as I supect some of them will have more in common with the BNP than mainstream politics. How about telling british voters BEFORE the European elctions what other bigots, in addition to homophobes, you are prepared to work with? It would be very easy to produce a list ruling out Parties that take xenophobic, sexist and homophobic positions now.

It’s good to be able to have friendships across the party divide. Often, too, one can get brickbats thrown at one from one’s own party, as I know happened with you concerning some comments you made recently about the Catholic Church. I support you on that, and have done so on the blog I write for under the headline “Mary, mother of reason”. I can also see that you’re not homophobic, so won’t mind getting hon. mention on a gay blog.
How come nobody comments, is this another blog where free speech is monitored and only those agreeing can comment??
Same old Tories – really pathetic. Half of them spend their time feeding the euroscpetic press with lies. I’ve started to collect some of the examples together – what do you think Mary?
Also do you think the Tories leaving the EPP could mean the Socialists are the biggest group come July?
