I find the cosying up of some on the so called progressive left with Islam to be very disturbing. There is nothing progressive about a religion which has as its core the subjugation of women, the persecution of homosexuals and institutionalised cruelty to animals.
If you dare criticise this mediaevalism you are called a racist.(since when was religion a race?)

Some Christian groups believe women should be housewives only, some would say orthodox Jews practice cruelty to animals, and Jehovah’s witnesses are not keen on gays. I defend their right to have their views but not to impose them.
