News has been spreading around the European Parliament that BNP MEP Nick Griffin and his fellow fascist Andrew Brons are not finding it easy in Brussels. One might even say they are finding it a struggle. I for one certainly won’t be shedding any tears.
Apparently, local café and bar owners do not want BNP members in their establishments because their presence is driving away customers. At least two places have already banned him: O’Farrell’s Bar and an American sports bar. According to media reports, on one occasion when Griffin and his gang of racists entered O’Farrell’s Bar 18 people put down their drinks and immediately walked out. Griffin was told bluntly that he is not welcome there and asked to leave.
It seems that Griffin is building up quite a reputation with incidents in pubs and bars. I have also heard reports that he was with his fascist friends in The Falcon Inn in Painswick when a pint of beer was poured over
him. Griffin must have been left looking rather foolish and presumably very wet. Oh dear…
Apparently, Griffin has had the nerve to call his Brussels ban “a form of apartheid.” Well Griffin knows that term brings back terrible memories of South Africa where the black majority were separated and persecuted; that’s why he likes the term. But true enough a dictionary definition of the word “apartheid” is: “The condition of being separated from others.” This is something Griffin is very used to and with hardly any other groups willing to work with him in the parliament a seemingly permanent state of affairs. How could others work with him, conscious as they are of the harm fascists have done to Europe in the past?
As for me – I’m in favour of continuing political and social apartheid for Nick Griffin and Andrew Brons until such a time as they renounce their vile views. Don’t think getting a pint is going to be easy, unless you count the kind thrown over you.
What a funny story! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy..
Maybe we can have a whip round and get him a small boat then put him out to sea somewhere – what was it he recently suggested we do to asylum seekers and refugees again???
Hopefully the investigation being carried out into the BNP by the Equality & Human Rights Commission in to their constitution/membership will see them suitably punished by our government. Is there any news on this??
While it is certainly good to know that “Mr” Griffin and his racist views are being given the welcome they deserve I would urge you to state the facts about the BNP.
Such as their wish for the an all white britian as stated in their constitution, “the BNP is committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring, by legal changes, negotiation and consent the overwhelmingly white makeup of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948”.
Or BNP Legal Director, Lee Barnes, reference to an Ukrainian woman as “a nubile Eastern European wench”, and his views on “modern” women as being “self loathing”, “sexless” and “androgynous” monstrosities.
Don’t let their antics hide the fact they are deeply unpleasent people,
