Good to see Alistair Campbell is changing his blog design. His blog says I wasn’t the only one to drop him a note saying I found the extra side bar for his blog a drag. Disturbing Facebook story from Alistair about London Tory councillor Robert-John Tasker making bigoted “Clarksonesque” or should that be “Thatcheresque” (Carol eclipsing her mum?) comments about people with mental health problems.
My take on this is that Conservatives have been trying to be “nice” to “decontaminate” the brand. However, as the general election draws nearer, and many Tories presumption that power awaits them, they are relaxing more and more to their true selves. Thank you to Robert-John Molloy Tasker (doubled barreled at the front not the back, how modern!) for reminding us of why the “nasty party” label stuck.
Looking at Robert-John’s picture the first thing that came to mind was Harry Enfield’s famous “Tory Boy” character so for him and all those too young to remember Harry the first time round here is one of my favourite clips.
Come on Robert-John ditch the suit and tie, get jeans and a hoody on for Dave!
Is this the same councillor from Kingston who wasted police time and money to investigate me. Who puts myself and members of public at risk with his own stupid actions. I am merely a bus driver trying to earn a living and keeping within the law. The same councillor who uses his hands to make rude gestures and uses foul language. Caught on camera as he himself knows. Also uses another mp name who is fully aware as I have told him myself. As a councillor you should be ashamed of yourself and grateful that my professionalism out shone your stupidity on the day. Afterall people are not always lucky when a bus hits them as we are all aware mr tasker. Regards Keith Gibson
